ready for the goon squad

almost every book review and about half a dozen people i know have been raving and recommending jennifer egan's a visit from the goon squad all year...so tomorrow, without much further ado, i am going to get under the covers and see for myself what all the fuss is about... 
i have a pile of books i want to devour in the coming months - and the goon squad seems like the perfect appetizer.
